• Environmental Science

Welcome to this class. First, we will discuss the class and then we will discuss the teacher(s). Environmental science is a project driven class. We will have some lecture but for the most part you will be given introductory information and then we will develop a project for either you or with a group. Some projects will be long term (2 weeks or so) others will be short, completed within the class period. Every project will have a due date. Due dates are firm (except in the case of snow days). Many projects can be turned in via the google classroom, so even if you are absent, you expected to turn in work. Most of your quarter grade will be based on the projects. Therefore, if you want a good grade in this class, create good projects.

The first teacher is Mrs. Baker. She is entering her 21st year of teaching at BRHS. She was one of the teachers who originally developed the environmental class for the County. Mrs. Baker is a trained facilitator for Project Underground, Project Wild and Population Education. The second teacher in this class is Mrs. Harper. Mrs. Harper will be teaching with Mrs. Baker in the periods 3 and 7 classes. Mrs. Harper has been at BRHS for 13 years. She has been married to Jim for 31 years and they have 3 children and 1 grandson. She also has 3 pit bull fur babies.
