    Welcome to Mrs. Buckman's Class

    Welcome to Kindergarten!

I am excited to start the year together. I have been teaching at Meadowland for over 25 years.  This is my thrity-third year of teaching. I have taught kindergarten, preschool, first and second grade. I have a masters in curriculum and instruction and concentration in reading. I also have my ELL certificate. I have a daughter, Katie, who will be in the Disney College program.  She is also a Meadowland graduate.

This summer, my family is taking a Disney Cruise to the Bahamas.   We love Disney.   As a matter of fact, you will see a lot of the Disney characters in our classroom. I love the aspiration of the theme “When you wish upon a star” and “Believe”.  This is going to be our motto this year; “Believe in yourself.”  Make the wishes of learning begin!

I have high expectations for a successful and great year and I'm sure you do as well. I hope to see you all at  Back to School Night on Sept. 17th at 5:30.

Let's work together as a team to make your child's year a wonderful learning adventure. I look forward to working with your child and seeing him/her grow in reading and writing.  This is a truly exciting year to see such huge milestones in those areas!
