Open to all Fourth & Fifth Grade Students
As a fourth or fifth grade student, your child is invited to consider participating in Chorus. Students participating in Chorus will develop singing skills, performance skills, and music literacy. We will celebrate our learning through a winter and spring concert at our school with the opportunity for additional performances throughout the year.
Please contact Mrs. Blood or Mrs. Drumm to enroll your child in Tolbert Chorus.
Our performance attire includes our Tolbert Chorus t-shirt.
Online orders are due October 18th. Order online HERE.
A MUSICAL PHILOSOPHY
Choral music instruction is part of a well-balanced education. Students who learn solfege, music reading, and develop singing voices have an opportunity to improve their overall school performance. Musical practice and performance enables students to develop concentration and the ability to focus in general, which carries over to all learning in school. Musical expression is also sometimes the only way an idea can be communicated, furthering students’ emotional/social development. Your student has a wonderful opportunity to grow this year through the Chorus.
