Welcome to second grade! My name is Natalie Mencini and I am so excited to start my third year teaching at Rosa Lee Carter! I have taught in second grade all three years, and think it is the BEST! I have always had a passion for teaching and working with children, and am dedicated to ensuring that your child has a successful and fun year.
I grew up in Ashburn, VA, and have attended LCPS for my entire life. I am thrilled to now be back in LCPS as a teacher! Growing up, I was a part of various Loudoun Soccer teams, and played on the Briar Woods High School soccer team. I attended Penn State University where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and had minors in Special Education and Deafness and Hearing Studies. At Penn State I was very involved with Penn State’s Dance Marathon (THON), which raises money and awareness for children with cancer. I am currently working on getting my Master's degree in Special Education at George Mason University.
When I am not teaching, I love running and spending time with family and friends. I recently coached the JV Girls soccer team at Heritage High School, and the Girls on the Run team at RLC. I have an older sister who graduated from the University of Virginia, and a younger sister who will be a senior at James Madison University.
I am looking forward to a wonderful year in second grade! Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
