    Mrs. Ahmed

Hello. My name is Anika Ahmed. I am so excited to be a part of the third grade team. This is my fourth year working in Loudoun County Public Schools. I have been a part of the Rosa Lee Carter family since the doors of the school opened. All of my children went to Rosa Lee Carter and I am so excited to be a part of this amazing staff.  I have played many roles within Rosa Lee Carter including a parent, substitute, teaching assistant and teacher.

I attended Shenandoah University in order to earn a graduate certificate in Elementary Education.  I graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore County with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems.  Prior to joining the school system, I worked in management consulting for twelve years.  My goal as an educator is to help students find their passion and support them in their learning.  As a teacher, I want to give students opportunities to try different things and explore new methods to see what works best for each student.

In my free time, I love to spend time with my family and friends. I have been married for 20 years and have three children.  My oldest daughter is a freshman in college, my middle daughter is a freshman in high school and  I have a son here with me in fifth grade at Rosa Lee Carter. Based on my own experiences as a parent and educator, I believe it is vital for parents and teachers to work together to help support a child’s growth both socially and academically. I look forward to working with you and your child this year!
