Mrs. Carrie Geiger
Welcome to the BEMS Choral Page!
Mrs. Carrie Geiger is thrilled to be directing choirs here at Belmont Ridge! She has been teaching in Loudoun County for 6 years and is excited to begin her second year teaching at Belmont Ridge! Singing is her passion, and when she's not working with the Belmont Ridge Choirs, she sings with her husband and children and teaches private studio voice lessons.
In the odd moments where Mrs. Geiger isn't making music, she is active in Scouts BSA and serves as a Venture Crew Advisor, Cub Scout Den leader, Unit Commissioner, and Council Trainer. She also loves running, hiking, knitting, and watching SciFi movies and documentaries with her family.
Mrs. Geiger graduated from Wheaton College Conservatory of Music in 1999 with a Bachelor's of Music Education (emphasis in vocal performance). She has taught private studio voice for almost 20 years, and she has also taken courses in World Music Drumming, which she finds unbelievably fun! She is currently an active member of the American Choral Director's Association and the National Association for Music Educators, attending regional and national conferences every year.
Mrs. Geiger is looking forward to a great choral year full of lots of exciting musical adventures!
