Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Anne Sathuluri

Greetings to all,

I'm thrilled to start yet another year of teaching at Trailside Middle School. This academic year marks my sixth year of teaching Mathematics at TMS, where I'll be teaching Math 6 and Foundations of Algebra. Over the years, I've had the privilege of teaching various subjects including Math 6, Math 6/7 (Accelerated Math), Foundations of Algebra, Math 8, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Trigonometry. With a background encompassing several years of part-time teaching and substitute experience across K-12 levels, I bring a diverse perspective to the classroom. Originally hailing from India, I earned my Bachelor of Science and Education in Mathematics and Physics from Andhra University. Subsequently, I pursued a Master's in Pure Mathematics. To uphold my teaching credentials, I acquired Middle School Mathematics and Algebra 1 teaching licensure from Shenandoah University. Additionally, I completed several computer programming courses at NVCC, Annandale. I'm actively pursuing another Master's in Education with an emphasis on Instructional Leadership from Shenandoah University.

I firmly believe that mathematics envelops every aspect of our lives, and there is no exclusive category of "math people." Our understanding of math evolves through diverse approaches and at different paces. My goal is to nurture a sense of ease with math, beginning from each individual's starting point, and help in the development of confidence in their mathematical skills. As an educator, I believe math goes beyond mere calculations, imparting vital life skills like patience, persistence, and effective problem-solving. My aim is to infuse the study of mathematics with enjoyment and entertainment, equipping my students with all the necessary tools for a successful academic year.

When not in the classroom, I find joy in spending quality time with my family and friends. Cooking and volunteering for various church activities are also among my interests. I live in Loudoun County with my husband and two children.

I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to connect with each one of my students.

Together, with perseverance, positivity, and unwavering dedication, I am confident we'll experience a fantastic year ahead!
