Greetings Roadrunners! I am so excited to start another school year as your principal. As always, I am looking forward to working closely with our staff, students, and their families to ensure a successful school year where students are challenged and motivated to succeed. I can't wait to see the outstanding work that students do every day.
I have been working in the Loudoun County Public School system since 2007, when I started my career at Sully Elementary school. I taught fourth and second grades while at Sully. In 2012, I became the Assistant Principal at Ashburn Elementary, where I served until 2018. I believe that relationships are vitally important to our work in schools, and look forward to continuing to build those relationships within the Rolling Ridge community.
I am originally from West Virginia, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Bethany College, in Bethany, WV. I then attended Duquesne University, in Pittsburgh, PA where I completed my Masters of Science in Elementary Education. Most recently, I attended George Mason University, where I studied educational leadership and received my administrative licensure. As a life-long learner myself, I strive to instill a love of learning in our staff and students.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family. We enjoy spending time outdoors, and cheering for Pittsburgh sports teams. I also enjoy cooking, baking and reading. Please feel free to reach out to me via email at Abby.Sacco@lcps.org or by calling the school.
