INFORMATION NIGHT ON SEP 6, 2018 @ 7:30 PM EST in RLC LIBRARY !!

Please come to Information Session on Sep 6, 2018 @ 7:30pm in RLC Library and learn more about the "RLC Robotics Club" - Click here for more info.

Robots are machines that can be used to do various repeatable jobs. Some robots can do work by themselves - Autonomous. Other robots must always have a person telling them what to do - Remote/Human Controlled. In simple terms, Robotics is the study of Robots.

Robotics combines many concepts of STEM - while introducing programming, increasing creativity, promoting inclusivity and preparing students for future.

Begin your journey into the world of robotics by learning basics, practicing building & coding robots, and competing.

     Learn, Build & Code, Compete

A few competitions for elementary school kids such as RLC are listed below. Please revisit this page for frequent updates.

FIRST LEGO League Jr. (Jr. FLL)

FIRST LEGO League Jr. captures young children’s (ages 6-10) curiosity and directs it toward discovering the wonders of Science and Technology. This wonderful program features a real-world scientific concept to be explored through research, teamwork, building, and imagination.

     First Lego League (FLL)

FIRST LEGO League teams (up to 10 members, grades 4-8) research a real-world problem such as food safety, recycling, energy, etc., and are challenged to design and develop a solution. They also must design, build and program a robot using LEGO MINDSTORMS® that compete in Robot mathces on a table-top playing field.

    World Robot Olympiad (WRO)

World Robot Olympiad consists of two or three students and a coach. Participating teams need to design, build and program a robot model that is capable to perform a challenge, play soccer or demonstrate a solution for a real-life problem.
