    Mrs. Buckley has several years of teaching experience at the secondary level.  She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English Education at the University of Delaware.  Furthermore, she earned a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (VA Tech). Mrs. Buckley has taught English at Heritage High School since its inaugural year.  Mrs. Buckley currently teaches English 11 and Advanced Placement Language and Composition. In addition, she is an adjunct instructor in the Humanities Department at Northern Virginia Community College, Loudoun Campus.  Mrs. Buckley is also a Teacher Consultant for the National Writing Project.

    Homework and other assignments will also be posted on the "Homework" page in Google classroom.  Assignments can also be tied directly into each student's Google Calendar.   Without using a student's login, parents still have the possibility of getting information via Classroom’s email summaries known as Guardian access.

     Guardian email summaries include:

    • Missing work—Work that’s late at the time the email was sent
    • Upcoming work—Work that’s due today and tomorrow (for daily emails) or work that’s due in the upcoming week (for weekly emails)
    • Class activity—Announcements, assignments, and questions recently posted by teachers
