     Social Studies
    This year marks Mrs. Mizerak's 15th year as a social studies teacher - previously, she taught in South Carolina for 2 years and Baltimore County, Maryland, for 11 years, and 1 year at J Michael Lunsford Middle School. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Columbia College (South Carolina) and a Master's degree in History from UMBC. She currently teaches 11th grade United States and Virginia history and World of Ideas/ World Religions. Prior to becoming a teacher, Mrs. Mizerak served in the United States Army for 4 years and served in the Army Reserves for 6 1/2 years.
