The Woodgrove Color Guard and Winter Guard are interested in YOU! No experience is necessary is to join the new Harmony Middle School Color Guard Club! While a background in dance is helpful, it is not required to learn movement and flag technique. We want to teach you!
Harmony MS Color Guard Club will meet each Thursday in the Harmony Aux Gym from 4:15-6:00 PM starting November 14, 2019. All sessions will be supervised by an adult from the time school gets out until the last student is picked up.
What to wear: Fitted, comfortable clothes you can move in — nothing baggy, no hoods — no jeans/skirts/khakis, etc. — ankles/feet must be able to be seen — tennis shoes and socks are required.
We will be introducing dance technique and flag technique throughout the year. We will also learn a short flag and dance piece to music. The year will culminate in performances of this piece at the Fine Arts Gala on May 8, 2019 held at Woodgrove HS.
The Winter Guard has been highly successful through the Atlantic Indoor Association (AIA) and Winter Guard International (WGI) national circuit; additionally, the Color Guard has been an integral part of the Marching Band's success over the last few seasons. Our future success is invested in our students at Harmony.
Ms. Nicole Parada Kinman is the instructor; she can be reached at woodgroveguard@gmail.com
