About Me
This is my 8th year working at Potomac Falls. I’m very proud to be a Panther and can't wait to see what this upcoming year has in store. This year I will be teaching AFDA. Prior to beginning my teaching career, I attended Old Dominion University, where I received a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies PreK-6. It wasn’t until I became an assistant teacher that I realized my true passion was working with the special ed population. I earned my Masters Degree in Special Education at Shenandoah University in the Spring of 2016!

One component to a child’s education that is critical in helping them succeed is the communication that is held between the teacher and the parents and guardians. It is also my belief that the more support I have from parents and guardians, the more our students will benefit. On that note, please do not hesitate to ever get in touch with me through email (Andrea.Bird@lcps.org) or by phone at 571-434-3200.
