Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Fe' Fernandes. I have been a Parent Liaison at Meadowland for eleven and a half years. Presently, I have the privilege to guide students toward their academic success while I begin my second year as a Kindergarten Teacher Assistant. I will also continue to be an active volunteer for Parents as Educational Partners (PEP) at Meadowland.
I was born in Manhattan, New York, and raised in the New England state of Massachusetts where I attended schools and met my husband- my high school sweetheart of thirty-two years. My family is from Cuba, Spain, Puerto Rico and Cape Verde.
I have three grown children. My son attends the University of Massachusetts, and my daughter is in the Pathway Program at NOVA. My eldest daughter is the owner of a hair salon in Sterling. My two granddaughters also attend Meadowland Elementary.
In my free time, I am a religion educator at my church for middle school students and the High School Youth Ministry. I'm an active volunteer for Salvation Army hot meals and the LINK food bank in Sterling. I enjoy dancing at my Zumba classes, gardening in my flower beds, and reading top seller books.
I look forward to an exciting year and the beginning of new adventures for our students in Ms. Loftus’ class!
