Mr. McGinley

Andrew McGinley is entering his tenth year with Loudoun County Schools and will be serving the Madison's Trust community as its second full-time music teacher.  He has been teaching for over twenty years and has worked as a professional musician and private instructor since 1988!  He's taught High School Chorus, Middle School Band, High School Guitar, AP Music Theory and Elementary Music.  He plays Trumpet, Guitar, Mandolin, Piano and Voice.  He's performed in several styles including Jazz, Classical, Pop, Folk and Gospel.  He leads two professional groups, a Bluegrass Band and a Dixieland Ensemble. He occasionally plays with a brass quintet and various regional orchestras and has sung with both the Washington Chorus and the City Choir of Washington. He's performed at Wolf Trapp, Strathmore Hall, and the Kennedy Center.

His philosophy is that everyone can perform, learn and love music. He seeks to help young people discover their gifts, give young people the opportunities to develop and excel, and finally supply them with a rich foundation so they can understand and love music, share their gifts with others and make music a rich part of their lives.

He lives in Loudoun County with his wife (who serves the Broad Run community as their Latin teacher) and their son who begins Kindergarten this Fall!   Contact Andrew at andrew.mcginley@lcps.org
