Michele Brigham is a resource teacher in the social science department at Freedom. She has a Master of Education from Valparaiso University in Indiana, a Bachelor of Music from Bowling Green State University in Ohio, and over forty years of experience in public education. Prior to coming to Loudoun, she taught high school choir, drama, and special education in Albemarle County. Previously, she taught choir and drama in Culpeper, VA; Valparaiso, IN; Dickinson, ND; Sioux Center, IA; and Maumee and Metamora, OH. Michele has served as an adjunct professor of Special Education for the University of Virginia and George Mason University, and is certified to teach Music K-12, Special Education K-12, and Social Science 6-12. She has several publications in major journals and textbooks, and has made many presentations at professional conferences and workshops.
