I am thrilled to be working with students in my 11th year at Hillside! I grew up in Bismarck, North Dakota, graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and Political Science. I worked in the retail and transportation industries, living in Minnesota, Nebraska, and Virginia. I changed careers to education, because my passion is helping students find their strengths and to use those strengths as keys to unlock the doors to reading, writing, and math. I received a Master's Degree in Special Education K-12 from George Mason University in 2017. I live in Ashburn with my husband, Paul, two children, Derek and Kelsie and our pet turtle, Xavier. My little slice of paradise is on a lake in Minnesota. I passionately cheer for the Minnesota Twins and Vikings! I enjoy reading and cooking. I believe learning is a life-long journey. It is my goal to instill a love of learning in students. I look forward to a wonderful year, filled with growth and fun!
