    STUDENT CAREGIVERS VOLUNTEERING PROGRAM


    Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers Student Caregivers program provides opportunities for the middle and high school-aged youth of Loudoun County to help the elderly and disabled adults in the county.  Participating students can volunteer as part of a group, or they can volunteer as part of a Student Caregiver Team, with groups of 2 to 4 students and one trained Adult volunteer paired with one or two care receivers.

    If you are interested in volunteering at INOVA Loudoun Hospital in October call 703-858-8094, and leave your contact information, and they will mail you information and application packet for the Program.  Must be at least 16 years old.  


    Medical Reserve Corps

    Who should consider volunteering for the Medical Reserve Corps?

    Anyone who wants to help the Health Department keep Loudoun County residents safe from an outbreak of disease, either naturally occurring or due to a terrorist attack and who:

    • Is willing to serve during an emergency and has no professional or personal commitment that may prevent them from doing so.

    • Is willing to complete an orientation session, either online or in person.

    • Is willing to undergo a reference or background check.

    • Is a Loudoun County resident at least 16 years of age.

    If you decide to become part of our Medical Reserve Corps you will:

     

    • Receive an orientation by the Health Department.

    • Be offered free training on such topics as CPR, First Aid, and emergency preparedness.

    • Play a significant role in keeping your family and community safe.
