Mrs. Charmaine Smith
Mrs. Smith is excited to be back for her fourth year at Creighton's Corner! She is excited to navigate through this new distance learning environment with you. It is going to requre a lot of flexibility and patience as everyone learns the new technology and processes together. Even though Mrs. Smith is not meeting students in person, her classroom goals remain the same...to create a safe and caring classroom community, have fun with each other, and master the third grade academic standards. Most importantly, Mrs. Smith would like to bring out the leader in each student so that they can become more independent learners!
Mrs. Smith is originally from sunny San Diego, CA and has been living in Loudoun County for seven years. She received her undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley with a double major in Economics and History, and graduated with High Honors. She later earned her Master’s degree in Instruction and Curriculum with a focus on Elementary Education (K-6) at George Mason University where she won the 2017 Outstanding Graduate Student Award for the program.
In her spare time, Mrs. Smith enjoys spending time with her husband Brian, two boys Logan (16), Lucas (14), and Goldendoodle puppy, Lily. She loves to travel, spend time in nature, paint, sew, kayak, and relax with friends.
