Hillsboro Charter Academy Enrollment
Important Lottery Message 2021-2022
HCA held our annual Scholar Lottery on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. During the week of March 15th, Mr. Vickers is notifying families of scholars who were selected in the lottery for open positions at HCA. Those families will have until Wednesday, March 24th to accept their positions. All acceptances must be made via email.
Between March 25th and March 30th, families whose children were placed on HCA’s Wait List will be notified of their specific positions on the Wait List. These families will not be expected to respond to the email message they receive.
We thank all applicants’ families for their interest in our school!
Hillsboro Charter Academy is a tuition-free public charter school. Enrollment is open to all Loudoun students in grades K-5 as they are invited in through the waitlist.
Hillsboro Charter Academy accepts applications for enrollment year-round. Enrollment spots are filled as they become available throughout the year as well, up until the lottery.
Each year, applications for Hillsboro Charter Academy’s school year lottery are taken up through the second Friday in March, with an enrollment lottery scheduled to take place during the following week. Applications received after the lottery deadline are placed in the order they are received, falling below the students selected during the lottery.
There are often openings each year in all grade levels, but the greatest availability is in the incoming kindergarten class. The shortest waitlists are in the higher grades. Informational tours for parents of prospective students are scheduled regularly at the school. Please check out our calendar to see when these will occur.
