Welcome Kindergarten Families!

I'm excited to begin my seventh year as a kindergarten teacher at Madison's Trust! I have lots of fun lessons and activities planned for this year and I'm confident that your child will love learning just as much as I enjoy teaching:)

This will be my 16th year of teaching. I've taught first grade and kindergarten throughout VA and MD, including Fairfax, Montgomery, and Prince Georges' County. I also experimented with starting my own kindergarten enrichment program, and while I enjoyed being at home with my children, I realized I missed being in the classroom:)

I'm originally from the Jersey Shore and I moved to the DC area for college. I graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and I was on the law school track. After a few years working in corporate America, I realized the corporate environment was not for me and I was ready to pursue my passion in education.  So, I moved to the big apple, went to NYU, attended a study abroad program at Oxford University and graduated with a Master's in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.

I will probably see many of you out and about in the neighborhood as I am a fellow Brambleton resident!  My husband and I just celebrated our 20 year anniversary, we have two children, Kieran, a new high schooler (sniff, sniff:), and Aliya, a spunky eighth grader. We also have a very, very energetic 4-legged little guy named Cody. He loves birds and he can't wait to meet some new Macaws in the area! When I am not wearing my teacher's hat, I love to travel, dance, shop, watch movies, and spend quality time with family & friends.

I look forward to working with all of my new Mighty Macaws this year and 'flying' into our new learning adventure together!
