Jamie Fischman

Welcome to 3rd grade! My name is Jamie Fischman and I am so excited to be teaching at Rosa Lee Carter again this year! This will be my fourth year as a 3rd grade teacher in Loudoun County. I grew up in Avon, Connecticut and attended the University of Delaware where I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. I also recently completed my Master's degree from George Mason University for Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Literacy Leadership for Diverse Schools: K-12 Reading Specialist. In my free time, I love spending my time with my friends and family, going to the beach, reading, traveling, and exercising.

I have always been passionate about working with children ever since I was 12 years old. My goal as a teacher is to make sure that every student is challenged to meet his/her full potential, while participating in engaging and fun learning activities. I believe that students should be able to make choices so they can personalize their learning, in order to be as successful as they can be. Please do not hesitate to contact me, as the collaboration between home and school is so important for each and every child. I am looking forward to an awesome school year!
