School Counseling Mission Statement

The mission of Stone Hill Middle School’s Counseling Department is to provide a developmental, data-driven, equitable program to meet the academic, career, and personal/social needs of our diverse population and to ensure that all students will learn and achieve. In collaboration with students, parents, and our community, the counseling department will foster a comprehensive program that will facilitate a climate for student success and prepare students for the world beyond the classroom.

Through the relationships built with our students, staff, and school community, the counseling department will promote and support the academic, social/emotional and career development of all students. This collaborative effort toward the development of positive school culture will allow students to gain the necessary skills to reach their personal and academic potential and become knowledgeable critical thinkers, communicators, collaborators, creators and contributors in their world.

    School Counseling Vision Statement
The vision of the Stone Hill Middle School counseling program is that all students will leave our school with the necessary interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills to allow them to meet and overcome challenges in a diverse society. Working with students, families, and staff to help students develop these essential skills at their own pace and ability level, we will ensure all students are able to become responsible, empathetic, and upstanding members of society who will positively connect with and contribute to their community both in school and beyond the classroom
