    VHSL SWIM MEET INFORMATION

Swimmers are to wear their team uniform to all meets.
Team uniform - team warm up jacket and black pants.

    Rules governing meet entries:

    1. When determining how many entries a team may submit for a meet, the first rule is Section 2, Article 1 of the 2012-13 NFHS Swimming Rules:
" A competitor shall be permitted to enter a maximum of four events, no more than two of which may be individual events." This means a swimmer could be entered in three relays and one individual event, but not three individual events and one relay.

    2.The second rule is Section 1, Article 2 (c):
"by prior mutual consent, in a pool with eight or more lanes, each team shall be permitted as many additional entries as may be equally provided for both teams." This means that at the dual meets at Ida Lee with eight lanes, each school is allowed four entries per event. At Claude Moore with three teams and nine lanes, each school is allowed three entries per event.

Summary: at the tri-meets at Claude Moore, we can enter three swimmers per event; at the dual meets at Ida Lee, we can enter four swimmers per event. In both situations, no swimmer can be entered in more than four events, of which only two can be individual events.
