Dear BRHS Community,
Hello to all of you! I am excited to begin my fifth year as a Spartan in a school community with a great reputation and history. I look forwarding to us working together to make it the best year possible, in person, and together.
Broad Run High School is well known far beyond Loudoun County for its high standards and excellence. I look forward to providing any and all support to help our students, faculty and staff achieve their goals.
As I enter my twenty-nineth year in education, I have had a variety of wonderful experiences as a teacher and administrator. I joined Loudoun County Public Schools in 1999. I was hired by Mr. Wayne Griffith who is a former BRHS principal of eighteen years. He shared with me many stories about BRHS when it was nicknamed "Cornfield High". I've always felt a connection to BRHS because of Mr. Griffith and now I have the privilege to serve and work with this community.
I served as an assistant principal at Potomac Falls High School for eight years and for ten years, principal of J. Lupton Simpson Middle School. I also worked in Culpeper County and Fauquier County as a teacher and administrator in the alternative school setting for six years combined. I am a graduate of Virginia Tech (1993) and Shenandoah University (1998).
Go Spartans!
Best,
Chad D. Runfola
