• Dear BRHS Community,

Hello to all of you! I am excited to begin my fourth year as a Spartan in a school community with a great reputation and history. What an exciting fall we had last year as we celebrated our 50th anniversary! While these are challenging times, I look forwarding to us working together to make it the best year possible.

Broad Run High School is well known far beyond Loudoun County for its high standards and excellence. I look forward to providing any and all support to help our students, faculty and staff achieve their goals.

As I enter my twenty-eighth year in education, I have had a variety of wonderful experiences as a teacher and administrator. I joined Loudoun County Public Schools in 1999. I was hired by Mr. Wayne Griffith who is a former BRHS principal of eighteen years. He shared with me many stories about BRHS when it was nicknamed "Cornfield High". I've always felt a connection to BRHS because of Mr. Griffith and now I have the privilege to serve and work with this community.

I served as an assistant principal at Potomac Falls High School for eight years and for the last ten years, principal of J. Lupton Simpson Middle School. I also worked in Culpeper County and Fauquier County as a teacher and administrator in the alternative school setting for six years combined. I am a graduate of Virginia Tech (1993) and Shenandoah University (1998).

    Go Spartans!
