Dear Parents or Guardians,
As one of the fourth grade teachers, I would like to welcome you to the Lovettsville Elementary Fourth Grade. I have been teaching in Loudoun County for 27 years. This is my 20th year at Lovettsville Elementary. I truly believe that Lovettsville Elementary has the best staff and leadership.
The fourth grade here is a special one. We do many exciting activities and have fun while we learn. Many of the lessons are cooperative learning activities. This allows the students to interact with their peers while learning the curriculum. The learning process is ongoing. It never stops. This philosophy is what makes learning fun. The students learning never stops.
One of the most important aspects of a child’s education is the reinforcement he/she gets at home. The daily lessons are sometimes reinforced by homework. This homework is designed to give your child practice at the concepts taught that day. Being kids, they sometimes forget how to do the work by the time they get home. If your child asks you for help, please do your best to help him/her. If you can not help, I will review and help your child individually the next day. Just write me a note to let me know your son/daughter was having difficulty.
I do my best to make the classroom a fun and safe place. Your child should feel comfortable and eager to learn. If there is ever a time that I should know about an incident that happened at school, please feel free to contact me. I will do everything to make your child as comfortable and eager to learn as possible.
I look forward to working with you and your child. We have a fun and exciting year planned. If you have any questions or comments, please contact me at Lovettsville.
