Jill is a 12-year resident of Loudoun County and has been married to her husband, Bill, for 20
years. They have three children. Their oldest child, Katie, is a 2010 graduate of Loudoun Valley
High School and is currently studying education at Brigham Young University. Their two
younger children attend Woodgrove High School. Prior to taking her seat on the board, Jill
taught second grade at Cool Spring Elementary. Her husband is currently a sixth grade U.S.
history teacher at River Bend Middle School.
A patriot at heart, Jill loves to study U.S. History and the Constitution. She is the organizer of
Women for a Constitutional America, a group that meets monthly to learn about the Constitution
and discuss current political issues, especially those pertaining to the Constitution.
Avid lovers of travel, Jill and her family have been all across this great nation, visiting nearly all
50 states on summer road trips. As often as possible, Jill and her husband are exploring the
wonderful historical sites around the Washington, D.C., area. Another great love of Jill's is
photography. Jill almost always has her camera with her!
Jill believes in strong communities. She has devoted countless hours volunteering her time to the
communities in which she has lived. Her volunteer efforts have included: working in her
children's classrooms, helping with the Grad Night celebration at Loudoun Valley High School,
teaching at her church, serving as a youth leader, coaching cheerleading for ULYFL, and serving
on the Ashburn Library Advisory Board. Jill is active in her church, serving as a youth leader
Jill earned a bachelor’s of science from Brigham Young University and a master’s of education
from Shenandoah University.
More than anything, Jill is an everyday wife, mom and community member. Her desire to serve
the residents of the Blue Ridge District is sincere. Her greatest hope is to bring the community
together to work as one to provide the best possible education for the children of Loudoun
