She is licensed to teach Elementary Education PK-6 and Middle Ed 6-8: Mathematics. This is her 14th year working in Loudoun County Public Schools. She taught third and fifth grade for eight years, then worked for the Department of Instruction in the LCPS administration building for two and a half years before becoming the Instructional Facilitator, Technology at Sterling Elementary for the last three and a half years. She is an Apple Teacher and Level 1 Google Certified Educator.

Originally from Berryville, Virginia, she grew up on a farm and was an active member of the FFA, 4-H, community outreach, band, and sports teams. Although she now lives in Sterling Park, she often travels to the family farm and enjoys being outside and playing with her niece and nephew. She is a Redskins fan, and her hobbies are baking and playing volleyball.

Miss Staples is proud to be part of the Sterling Elementary family and to continue working with some of the best students and staff in the county! She strives to contribute to the high quality of education our students receive that will help them make meaningful contributions to our world.
