Mrs. Mason grew up in an Army family that eventually settled in Northern Virginia. She went to High School in Fairfax County and received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from Virginia Tech.
After graduation she moved to Roanoke, Virginia and taught 1st grade for two years. In 1997, she moved to Loudoun County and taught at Potowmack Elementary. She enjoyed teaching first and second grades. During her time as a classroom teacher, she completed her Masters Degree in Education (Reading) through the University of Virginia.
When she became a Reading Specialist, she moved to Seldens Landing Elementary in 2001. In 2008, she began working at Rolling Ridge Elementary and as a Reading Interventionist for grades 3-5.
In 2016, Mrs. Mason moved to Algonkian Elementary and loves being a Reading Specialist. She's SO proud to be a Bobcat!
Mrs. Mason lives in Sterling with her husband, two sons and energetic dog. She enjoys reading, traveling, walking her dog and spending quality time with her family.
