Degrees and Certifications:

Ms. Jessee

Hello! My name is Roxanne Jessee and this will be my second year teaching ELL at Forest Grove! I am very excited to be co-teaching in 1st grade with Ms. Meisner. I am enjoying getting to know all of our students and their various cultural backgrounds.

I was born and raised in Sterling, VA, and attended Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) grades K-12. I am very proud of being a LCPS graduate!

I attended George Mason University and graduated with a B.A. degree in Government and International Politics with a minor in Spanish. While in school, I studied abroad in Southern Spain, which was an amazing experience!

In 2013, I taught English as a Foreign Language (EFL) for 6 months in Copey, Costa Rica. I lived in a small village and taught grades K-6. I extremely enjoyed teaching there and the experience inevitably solidified my decision to be an ELL teacher! So, I went back to school and obtained my Masters Degree in Education, concentrating in English as a Second Language (ESL), which was also from George Mason University (GMU).

I love to read, travel, run, and play with my cats!
