    John Gabriel:
    Mr. Gabriel is entering his 21st year in education. Prior to his appointment as Principal of John Champe High School, he served as an assistant principal at Park View High School for seven years.  As an English teacher, Mr. Gabriel worked in three school systems and taught all levels of English, from remedial English through Advanced Placement Literature and Composition. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Mary Washington College and a Masters in Educational Leadership from George Mason University. Mr. Gabriel has authored the books How to Thrive as Teacher Leader (ASCD; 2005), How to Help Your School Thrive (ASCD; 2009), and Dealing with the Tough Stuff (Jossey-Bass; 2012) and has presented workshops and staff development in various school systems. He was a Washington Post Principal of the Year Finalist, and the Loudoun County Public Schools Principal of the Year for 2017.
