  • Weekend Backpack Project - ongoing (2020-2021)

    Volunteers Needed

Some members of our student body can only count on something to eat for breakfast and lunch each day at school and may have little or nothing over the weekends. The Weekend Backpack Project will send them home with non-perishable, easy to prepare meals every Friday afternoon.  30+ students will be helped each weekend by this program!

    We are in need of:

    • Non-perishable, shelf stable foods (nothing requiring refrigeration) in individually packaged servings
    • Volunteers to bag foods for distribution each Friday - sign up below
    • The following items are needed for donations:

      Canned soup
      Canned ravioli
Tuna (the unflavored packets work best)
      Single serving cereals
      Applesauce or fruit cup
      Pudding cups
      Granola bars
      Crackers
      Ramen
      Easy Mac.
All should be for single servings and must be shelf stable.

If anyone wants to donate money they can make the check payable to Harmony Middle school with “backpack program” in the subject line.

Please help us pack for backpack buddies! Volunteer sign up is below! Its only 1 hour on Friday mornings!
