Mission Statement
The mission of Loudoun County Public Schools Parent Resource Services (PRS) is to promote a positive working relationship between families, educators, and the community by fostering an understanding of the building blocks that contribute to a successful educational outcome.
Parent Resource Services
- Supports families in being engaged partners with school staff.
- Provides direct assistance to aid parents as they navigate the educational processes and array of resources.
- Provides workshops for families and educators on a variety of topics to enhance student wellness and learning.
- Connects families and educators to school personnel, web-based and community resources.
Meet Our Team
Leanne Kidwell, EducatorLeanne has 20 years experience in special education as a classroom teacher as well as a transition teacher. She received her masters degree from the George Washington University in Special Education in Transition for Students with Traumatic Brain Injury. Prior to teaching, Leanne was a case manager at Brain Injury Services and a vocational rehabilitation counselor for the Virginia Department of Rehabilitative Services.
Pamala Spiering, Parent PartnerPam is in her 20th year with Parent Resource Services and her 30th with Loudoun County Public Schools. As a parent of three children with disabilities, she has gained knowledge through firsthand experience as she navigated both school and community resources to support their needs. She has a particular interest in transition planning for “life after high school” for students with disabilities.
