Mrs. Fortenbaugh

Mrs. Fortenbaugh is very excited to be Round Hill's Gifted Resource Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year.  Prior to moving to Loudoun County, Mrs. Fortenbaugh taught advanced math and advanced language arts in Alexandria City Public Schools' Talented and Gifted program.  Mrs. Fortenbaugh also taught 6th grade, 4th grade, and 2nd grade in DC Public Schools.  Mrs. Fortenbaugh loves math and has also worked as an Elementary Math Specialist in Fairfax County Public Schools.  She has a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from American University, a Master's degree in Gifted Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a second Master's degree in Math Education Leadership, K-8, from George Mason University.  Mrs. Fortenbaugh loves to travel and has visited over 20 countries.  Her favorite travel experiences include walking on the Great Wall of China and chasing the Northern Lights in Iceland.
