Hello! My name is Kameron Peterson and I am excited to be in my fourth year as one of the School Counselors at Mountain View Elementary! I am available Monday through Friday to work with all students, even though I will be teaching school counseling lessons for third, fourth, and fifth grade students.

I attended Michigan State University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Science and a certification in teaching. I taught high school science for four years. In 1997, I earned a Master's Degree in Education with a School Counselor certification from the University of Dayton. I worked as a counselor for six years in Ohio before moving to Virginia. I have been married to my husband, Mark, for 23 years and we have four children ages 13-20. In my free time, I enjoy exercising, listening to music, being outdoors, and reading and learning about healthy living.

I am excited to be here to partner with parents and staff to help your children be successful in school and in the community. I look forward to getting to know you, your family, and most importantly, your child. Please feel free to contact me during school hours at 540.751.2250 or at kameron.peterson@lcps.org.  Happy day!
