Degrees and Certifications:
This will be my 17th year of teaching in Loudoun County and my 5th year at Madison's Trust. I started teaching ELL students at Forest Grove in the fall of 2004. I have taught second grade for three years at Moorefield Station. I have also taught fourth grade in California and in Virginia. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Art and Elementary Education from Point Loma Nazarene University, San Diego, California. I also have a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction for ESOL from George Mason University.
I was born and raised in California. I met my husband in college. We moved to Virginia in the summer of 1999 with our two now grown children. The oldest is a son and the younger one, a daughter. She is now married with three childern and three dogs.
In my free time, my husband and I enjoy being together at home (with our three cats) or on the road. I also like to read, cook, and spend time with my family, especially our grandchildren.
