Welcome to Tuscarora HS Earth Science!
I am so excited for the 2022-2023 school year and to help you start 9th grade!   We have lots of hands-on activities planned and will jump into what high school and science is all about!
Earth Science will look at the properties of Earth systems including science methods, measurements and mapping skills.  Specific investigation in Astronomy, Geology, Oceanography, and Meteorology will be covered involving labs and projects.  Class materials and assignments will be posted in Schoology.  Research Earth Science will teach Research skills required to progress in research level classes throughout high school, and will require additional time in research and writing scientific papers.  Earth Science is the foundation and bridge between Middle School and High School science!
I will also be serving our THS new staff this year as a co-lead mentor, helping new personnel build community, positive experiences, and sound teaching!    Also, I serve as sponsor for the Environmental Club so look forward to working with lots of students!
I look forward to a great year!
