My name is Eric LeHew and I am originally from Western Pennsylvania.I start my seventeenth year of teaching this year and have previously taught at Waynesboro Area School District in Waynesboro, PA, Southampton County, VA, Manassas Park, VA, and Potomac Falls High School.  I have taught almost every course in the Social Studies Curriculum, at least once, and again this year am excited to be teaching Dual Enrollment US History and Academic US/VA Government courses.
I am a 2003 graduate of Conemaugh Township Area Jr./Sr. High School, a 2007 graduate of Shippensburg University of PA where I earned a BS,ed. in Social Studies Education and a minor in Political Science, and a 2015 graduate of George Mason University with a Master's Degree in Public History.  I spend most of my free time, when not grading papers, with my wife of eleven years, listening to music or doing something creative around the house (I enjoy DIY Projects).  I  am an avid outdoors man, and enjoy Scuba Diving, backpacking, or skiing whenever possible.  A veracious reader, I can often be found with a book in my hand or nearby, and am a huge fan of the Harry Potter series and my favorite author is Tom Clancy.
I also enjoy giving back to the community and working with a Boy Scout Troop as an Assistant Scoutmaster; I am also an Eagle Scout with Palms.  I served as president of a local civic organization in 2021 in the community where I live.
