     Introducing... Mrs. Lynch

Hello! I am happy to be part of the kindergarten team at Emerick this year!  Ever since I was about 6 years old, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. After more than 16 years in the classroom, I still truly love teaching and can't imagine doing anything else!

I am originally from Roanoke, Virginia. I  earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and completed my initial teaching licensure at Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg.  Last year I taught kindergarten at Round Hill Elementary.  I have also taught first grade and second grade in Roanoke County and Stafford County.  My family and I moved from Roanoke to Loudoun in 2009.  A couple of years later, I began working at  Loudoun Valley Community Center in Purcellville  where I developed and taught two pre-k/ kindergarten enrichment programs (Math & Science Buddies and K. Kids)  for three years before coming to work for Loudoun County Public Schools.  Outside of teaching, I enjoy listening to music, reading, drawing,  playing games, learning new things,  or being outside to enjoy nature.  I do not like to cook and avoid it whenever I can!  My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family.  My sweet husband Joe and I will celebrate our 20th anniversary in October. We have four kids (who are in grades 4, 6, 8, and 11) and one silly old dog named Truman.
I am excited to be teaching kindergarten again this year!
