Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Klingerman

   Meet Mrs. Klingerman

I am the Lead EL teacher this school year and look forward to meeting new students and families.  I have been teaching grades K-5 for 26 years and will begin my 9th year as an EL teacher.   I'm thrilled to continue my career as a Mighty Macaw.  I consider myself a lifelong learner and have several Alma maters including,:  VCU, James Madison University and Virginia Tech.  I received my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with endorsement in English as a second language.  I look forward to instilling my love of learning to others.

In my spare time, I love spending time with my daughter and my husband.  You'll often find me at our local horse barn and horseshows as well as supporting my husband's triathlons.  My favorite thing to do is to drive my convertible on sunny days.  There is never a dull moment!  Cooking, traveling, making new friends, and listening to live music are among my favorite things to do.  I love to smile and hope that my students find that an endearing quality.  A smile is the same in every language!

I want to welcome everyone to stop by and learn more about what the EL teachers at Madison’s Trust have planned for the upcoming school year.  Please don’t hesitate to contact me to learn more.
