Hello Parents and Students,          

My name is Mrs. Deater.  I am very excited to be starting a new school year with all of you.  I hope we will have a lot of fun this year.  I know if we all work together, we will have a successful school year.  The following is a little bit of information about me for you to read together.         

I have had a very exciting summer.  I’ve spent lots of time reading, relaxing, gardening, and spending time with my family.   I have two children, Jaelyn who is thirteen and Jackson who just turned eleven.  We have had a lot of adventures this summer!  I’m sure you will hear all about them throughout the school year.  I can’t wait to hear all about your summertime adventures too!       

I was born and raised in York, Pennsylvania.  I have three younger siblings, a brother and two sisters.  I live in Myersville, Maryland.  We have a dog named Bandit.        

I attended West Chester University in Pennsylvania.  I graduated in December 2000 and hold my bachelor’s degree in elementary education.  This is my twenty-third year of teaching in Loudoun County.  This is my thirteenth year at Lovettsville Elementary.  I LOVE it here!        

As I said earlier, I am very excited about this new school year.  I look forward to getting to know each student and family.  I thank you in advance for sharing your children with me.  In my classroom there is a lot of teamwork.  I believe that we will have an awesome year if we all work together.
