The Algonkian Digital Citizenship Educational team provides innovative instruction using technology to increase student learning and understanding of what it means to be a good digital citizen using today's 21st century technology skills. Our current focus is to provide resources and instructional support to the Algonkian staff and students for the implementation of the one-to-one initiatives and technology integration across the curriculum. (All students have access to a device.)  This includes Common Sense Media Digital Certification. The Instructional Facilitator of Technology ,  the Libraian and School Counselor will work towards increasing digital citizenship skills amongst staff and students through the lesson plans and activities provided by Common Sense Media Curriculum and their Digital Passport program. The role of the Instructional Facilitator of Technology will provide opportunities for students to understand online safety, privacy and security and digital foot-prints and reputation. The role of School Counselor will provide opportunities for students to understand cyber-bullying and digital drama, self-image and identity, and relationships and communication. The role of the Libraian will provide opportunities for students to understand  information literacy and creative credit and copyright. The Algonkian Digital Citizenship Educational team will overlap and reinforce all lessons taught by the team members.
