Mr. Kevin Bartell

Hello!!!!  Welcome to Mr. Bartell's 6th Grade US History Class!  Mr. Bartell is entering his twelfth year at Belmont Ridge as well as his twelfth year in teaching, and he is VERY EXCITED!!!!  He graduated in May 2008 from Virginia Tech with a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  Mr. Bartell has also earned a Bachelor's Degree in History from Virginia Tech.
Mr. Bartell has settled in Loudoun County and thoroughly enjoys the history that is present in the area.  Mr. Bartell is married and his wife is a Second Grade teacher at Hillside Elementary School in Ashburn.   They are both very happy to be part of Loudoun County Public Schools.  At the end of the 2017 school year, Mr. Bartell and his wife welcomed their first child, a beautiful baby girl named Lola.  Mr. Bartell comes from an Army family and has lived all over the country and the world from Alaska to Louisiana to Germany.  (Counting dorm rooms he has had roughly 26 addresses)  Mr. Bartell has also worked as a Resident Advisor, a Congressional intern in Washington, D.C., and as a field technician on an archeological dig.  His life and experiences have given him a love for Social Studies, teaching, and learning.
The upcoming school year has some new and exciting changes in store that will make his class more fun and dynamic.  These shifts will hopefully raise the performance and enjoyment of his students and increase the overall output of his class.
