Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Emily Parker
I am looking forward to coming back for my 4th year at Round Hill. I have enjoyed my time with the fourth grade but I am excited to join the 3rd grade team. We have so much to learn together!
This year marks my 17th year in Loudoun County. Prior to Round Hill, I spent 13 years working in South Riding, opening both Hutchison Farm and Liberty Elementary. I have experience teaching first through fourth grades and look forward to continuing to work with the fabulous third grade team!
I received my Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Radford University in 2002. In August of 2010 I completed my Master's degree from George Mason University in Initiatives in Educational Transformation. I consider myself a lifelong learner and love being both a teacher and a student! In 2012 I officially received my National Board Certification. This was a huge personal accomplishment!
Three years ago my husband Tom and I relocated our family to Clarke County. Ally (13) and Dylan (10) look forward to meeting all of you at PTA and school events. Grace (3) will have lots of fun seeing you too!
I strongly believe in open communication and teamwork! I look forward collaborating with my team and working with our students to make it a great year. I am excited to get to know all of you as I plan on making Round Hill my home for a very long time. Please feel free to email me anytime. (firstname.lastname@example.org) I want the transition to third grade to be a smooth one for all of us and I am looking forward to a great year.
A wonderful year awaits us! Go BEARS!
