    Lock Policy: Each Student will be provided a combination lock for the school year. It’s a student’s responsibility to return their lock at end of school year. If the lock is lost, damaged, or not returned a five dollar fee will be charged.




    • Promote physical fitness and wellness as a lifetime commitment and responsibility
    • Help each student realize and appreciate the importance of a healthy mind and body
    • Emphasize the skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork involved in various physical education activities
    • Encourage participation in the activities and become familiar with the rules and concepts of the sports
    • Have fun and learn



    Attendance:  Students are expected to attend class and be on time. An unexcused tardy will be given to any students who is late to class.  Loss of points and disciplinary action will be taken for students who are late to class.


    Missed work: If a student is absent, it is their responsibility to pick up class work and assignments when they return to school. If a student misses a quiz or test, they will take it the day they return to school. Communications is key. Communicate your situation with your teacher so that we can work with you to find a solution.


    Alternative Assessment due to injury or illness: Students that are not able to participate in physical education for more than two consecutive days will be required to complete an long term alternative assessment in the library. Daily alternative assessments will be issued if a student is not able to participate that day is class for any reason. Please see your teacher to receive a copy of the alternative assessment.

    Materials:  In Health, students will need: 1 notebook, 1 folder, pen or pencil.


    Physical Education: Physical education makes up 50% of your grade. Each day the students can be awarded up to 20 points based on the five standards of health and physical education. The students are required to dress out each day.  Students must wear athletic shoes that tie, socks, shorts, and a t-shirt.NO CELLPHONES in the gym unless advised by the teacher.  NO BACKPACKS are prohibited down in the PE area. Please put backpacks in your HALLWAY LOCKER before entering the gym.

    Health: Health makes up the 50% of the grade. Each assignment, project, and test will have a point value totaled for the student’s grade. The point value will be given with the assignment. The student must be prepared for class with all materials and a positive learning attitude. NO assignment will account for more than 20% of the overall grade. Student’s will receive a grade of pass/not pass in Phoenix based on completion CPR curriculum.
