    DRAMA IV
     
    Drama IV is designed for students with intense interest in theater arts at professional and/or collegiate levels. Drama IV students will complete independent projects specifically suited to individual strengths. Participation in co-curricular theatre productions (PLAYS) are expected of all advanced Drama students.
     
    COURSE OBJECTIVES;
     
    This course will focus on different styles of acting, rehearsing and performing plays. The student will learn a variety of acting techniques to explore the great characters of the last 200 years in World Drama. The students will audition, rehearse, direct, design and perform a classic Play from World Drama and a One Act Play from a modern playwrite to be performed at various competitions in the area.
     
    MAJOR TOPICS TO BE COVERED
     
    1st quarter - Auditions, rehearsal technique, vocal technique, acting technique, play design.
    2nd quarter - World Drama, character relationships, play analysis and performance of a play
    3rd quarter - Classic comedy, playing comedy, rehearsal and performance of a comedic play
    4th quarter - Individual Drama projects, rehearsing and performance
     
    ANNOUNCEMENTS:
     The following must be completed at the time you perform your project; Breaking down a play, Writing all blocking and acting notes in your theatre journal.
