     "The Ingenuity Lab"

Welcome to the Ingenuity Lab at Kenneth Culbert Elementary School.

This is the home of Search, EDGE, and Futura.

I look forward to an exciting year in Futura with "Innovation" as our curriculum theme.

There will be a button in each Schoology classroom titled, "Mr. Morgan".  This is where students will find all videos, Google Meet links, and information for gifted services at KWC during distance and hybrid learning.  On Back to School Night, I will have a Google Meet link, in case you have any questions.

Search classes will begin the week of September 8th.

Search class videos and assignments will be placed directly on the classroom teacher's landing page in Schoology.  Look for a folder with "Mr. Morgan" on the label. During the month of September, all classes will be pre-recorded.  This is because I am traveling around the county to assist with the completion of eligibility at other schools.

Beginning in October, Third grade Search classes will be be live in a Google Meet setting. The link will be posted in my folder in each third grade Schoology classroom.

Futura classes will begin the week of September 14th.

The first class will be pre-recorded with step-by-step instructions on how to begin the project. 90 minutes will be provided each week for Futura instruction and project completion.  If you would like to work on your project beyond that time frame, that is wonderful!  But just know, it is not expected during distance learning.

Our second class and each continuing class will be a live Google Meet.  We will begin the Google Meet with each student's presentation of their project.  I will record that you completed the project, make notes on meeting the requirements of the assignment, and give you feedback. The current plan is that we will do our "Semester Progress Report" based on your completion of the assigned projects.  Please use your 90 minutes each week to keep up with your Futura assignments. Our class will be on Mondays from 9:30-11:00 a.m.

    FUTURA Parent Information

On September 8th, I will post a pre-recorded information session for the parents of all Futura students.

It can be found in the folder labeled, "Mr. Morgan", on the homeroom teacher's Schoology page.

I will host a live Google Meet to answer your questions at Back to School Night from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.
