Mr. Todd Pangman

Welcome to 4th grade at Arcola!  My name is Todd Pangman.  I grew up in a small town in upstate New York.  I began my teaching career at Middleburgh Central School in New York State where I taught 4th grade for one year.  I taught fourth and fifth grade for 27 years in Fairfax County Public Schools. I return this fall to Arcola ES for my eighth year.  I began my college education at Cobleskill State, a junior college; and received my associate degree in business administration. I completed my bachelor degree at Oswego State, part of the SUNY system, in elementary education. I received a Masters degree in gifted and talented education from George Mason University.  I have worked with mentally challenged students, taught summer school remediation programs, worked private summer enrichment camps and tutored students ranging in grades two thru seven.  I enjoy challenging students, encouraging them and fostering creativity.  I try to create a safe and positive environment; an environment where all students can thrive.

I am married and have three sons. My oldest son lives and works in Denver, CO. My middle son lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. and my youngest son is a senior at James Madison University.
