Hello everyone! My name is Kelsey Narkevic and I couldn't be more proud to say that this will be my sixth year teaching the wonderful third grade at Rosa Lee Carter! Teaching has always been my dream, and I am very passionate in what I do.  Whenever I’m not spending time planning exciting and engaging lessons, I love to hang out with friends, workout, and snuggle up with a good book!
I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA and attended Penn State University where I earned my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. I student taught in a fourth grade classroom, and now have 4 years of experience teaching third grade. I believe the best way for students to learn is through hands-on authentic opportunities. I do my best to make sure children see the importance in what they're learning and push them to develop critical skills that are needed in any future career.
I greatly look forward to meeting and working with all of you. I believe that each child is unique and I strive to make sure each child receives the support he/she needs in order to be successful. I want the very best for every child and understand how important it is to make that connection between their home and school life. Therefore, please feel free to contact me at anytime throughout the school year to schedule a meeting or to talk on the phone!
I am looking forward to a fun and enriching school year and hope that you are just as excited as I am!  Kelsey.Narkevic@lcps.org
