Meet the Library Media Center Team
Hello! I am so happy to be back again this year in the Riverside High School library. Our library is a bustling hub of activity and we strive to make all students feel welcome here. This is my eighth year as a librarian for Loudoun County Public Schools, and my fifth year at Riverside High School. I graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature, and I also have a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from Pratt Institute in New York City.
Ms. McNeil Ms. McNeil is happy to be part of the Ram fam! This is her tenth year working for LCPS, her seventh year as a school librarian, and her fourth year at Riverside High School.  Ms. McNeil earned her Masters of Science of Library and Information Science from the Catholic University of America.  She earned an honors degree in English Language and Literature from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.   Ms. McNeil enjoys teaching students how to research, and she enjoys talking with them about books.  Ms. McNeil has two children, and a big, lovable Labradoodle.  In her spare time she likes to read, exercise, travel, and spend time with her family and friends.  Her favorite books are Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte and The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver.  Her favorite book of the summer was A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman.

This is her 11th year as a Loudoun County resident, with both of her children attending Loudoun County Public Schools. She comes to Riverside with a wide range of experience and knowledge to help students succeed as she was fortunate to work as a Substitue teacher (sometimes in the Riverside Library) and as a Kindergarten Assistant. In her spare time Mrs. Mitchell likes to cook, bake, enjoy nature & music, camp, spend time with her family & dogs...and of course read! Her favorite book genres include biographies, comedy, and young adult fiction.
